Detailed Description

Opens a device function file for read access.

Parameters

[in]	fileName	Name of device function file to open
	fileId	Unique index (handle) for the opened file
[out]	err	Error flag

The extension of fileName is used to try to determine the file type. If this does not succeed, ASCII is assumed.

Note

On input, the fileId argument contains the channel index.
